Visit of the Governor of Kandal to LaValla

The new Governor of our Province, Kandal, decided to mark Valentines Day with a visit. He had an entourage of 20, including local government officials who his PA managed with style.  The Governor spoke briefly encouraging the kids to study and be kind and then the pizzas, fried chicken and milk arrived. The students at our LaValla Village hostels’ campus, who attend a government high school, joined the celebration as well. The Governor was gracious and gifted all and the LaValla School project.  Each child received a small cash gift.  Many “banked” it with the Brothers to take home. Thinking of the folk at home with less, some students do the same with gifts in kind from locals visiting. A caring culture is evident here.
