Visit from Assisi Catholic College

In June 2024, LaValla has had a visit from students from Assisi Catholic College from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The girls and the Staff interacted wonderfully with the students of LaValla School. Our students were very sad when the girls left with a promise that students from Assisi would come again to visit us at LaValla.

Since the time of Covid 19 we have not had very many immersion groups from Australia and this visit reminded us how important these visits are for our students and also a very important experience for the visiting students as they spend time with the students of LaValla. One of our grade 6 students gave a speech in English which he wrote himself, thanking the visitors and wishing them safe travels and a bright future. Gifts of a Krama were given to each of our visitors.
