Immersions at MSC December 2018

Marist College Ashgrove

Every year boys and staff from Marist College Ashgrove visit the Lavalla school. They are most welcome visitors. This year in morning our visitors worked with staff painting the metal roof supports on the verandas around the school. In the afternoon the Ashgrove boys joined our students in the classroom.

OLSH Alice Springs

The visit of OLSH, Alice Springs involved the return of an old friend Br James Hodge. Br James was here at Lavalla in a previous life. It was good to see him back and also to welcome back Evelyn. The students from OLSH also helped with the painting and working with the students in the classroom in the afternoons

Marcellin College

The students and staff from Marcellin College in Bulleen were only here for a day but we enjoyed welcoming them. The Marcellin college boys had been on an extended immersion with the Marist Brothers in Pailin.

Woodlawn

MSC welcomed again Annette and staff and students from Woodlawn College. Lismore Australia. They have been coming to be present to the students at Villa Maria for many years and are long term donors to the program there. The students work at various tasks at Villa Maria and spend time with the students. The staff and students also spend some time with the children at Lavalla School.
